The Three Little Pigs and the Huffing, Puffing Wolf
Three pig siblings build homes of straw, sticks, and bricks. When a hungry wolf comes huffing and puffing, only the cleverest pig stays safe.
Once upon a time, three little pigs decided it was time to build their very own houses.
The first little pig was always in a hurry. "I want to play!" she squealed. She gathered golden straw that smelled like sunshine and built her house super-duper fast. SWISH, SWISH, SWISH went the straw. "All done!" she sang, dancing around her yellow house.
The second little pig liked to have fun too. He collected smooth brown sticks from the forest floor. TAP, TAP, TAP! He stacked them up nice and neat. "Not too hard, not too easy. Just right!" he oinked happily, admiring his stick house.
The third little pig was different. She thought very carefully. "I want a house that's strong and safe," she said. She mixed cement that went PLOP, PLOP, PLOP. She carried heavy red bricks, one by one. Her brothers laughed and played while she worked.

SCRAPE, STACK, SCRAPE, STACK! Day after day, she built her brick house with a sturdy door and a tall chimney.
One morning, a big bad wolf was prowling through the woods. His tummy rumbled like thunder. GRRRROWL! "Mmm, I smell pigs!" he growled, licking his lips.
The wolf spotted the straw house glowing in the sunshine. He knocked on the door. KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!
"Little pig, little pig, let me come in!" he called in his sweetest voice.
The first little pig peeked through her window and saw his sharp teeth. "Not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin!" she cried.
The wolf's eyes turned mean and green. "Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down!"
The wolf took the biggest breath ever. His chest puffed up like a giant balloon. HOOOOOOO! WHOOOOOOOSH! The straw flew everywhere like golden confetti! The first little pig ran as fast as her trotters could carry her to her brother's stick house.
The wolf followed, his paws going THUMP, THUMP, THUMP on the ground.
"Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in!" he howled at the stick house.
"Not by the hair on our chinny-chin-chins!" both pigs shouted together.
"Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down!"
The wolf huffed even BIGGER this time. HOOOOOOO! WHOOOOOOOSH! The sticks tumbled and crashed like pick-up-sticks. CLATTER, CLATTER, CRASH! The two little pigs squealed and raced to their sister's brick house.
The clever third pig opened her strong door and pulled them inside. SLAM! She locked it tight. Click!
The wolf arrived, angrier than ever. His fur stood up spiky. His tail swished back and forth.
"Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in!"
"Not by the hair on our chinny-chin-chins!" all three pigs called out bravely.
"Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll BLOW YOUR HOUSE DOWN!"
The wolf huffed. HOOOOO! He puffed. WHOOOO! He blew with all his might. WHOOOOOOOOSH! But the brick house didn't move. Not even one tiny brick!
The wolf huffed and puffed again. And again! And AGAIN! His face turned red, then purple. He got so dizzy he had to sit down. PLOP!
Then the sneaky wolf had an idea. He spotted the chimney on top of the house. "I'll climb down and surprise them!" he whispered to himself.
But the third little pig was very clever. She heard scratching sounds on the roof. Scritch, scratch! She knew exactly what to do.
"Quick! Help me!" she told her brother and sister. They hung a huge pot of water in the fireplace. The flames danced underneath, making the water bubble and boil. BUBBLE, BUBBLE, BUBBLE!
The wolf squeezed into the chimney. Down, down, down he slid. SWOOOOSH! SPLASH! He landed right in the boiling water!
"YEEEEEOOOOWWWW!" The wolf jumped so high he shot back up the chimney like a rocket! He landed on the ground with a THUD, ran into the forest, and was never seen again.
The three little pigs cheered and danced. "Hooray! We're safe!"
The first and second little pigs learned their lesson. Together, all three pigs built two more strong brick houses, right next to each other.

And they lived happily ever after, safe and snug in their sturdy homes.
The end.
