Rapunzel's Tower Adventure

Rapunzel's Tower Adventure

Official

A girl with magical long hair lives in a tall tower until a brave prince hears her singing and helps her escape to freedom.

Once upon a time, a baby girl was born with the most beautiful golden hair. A mean witch saw the baby and said, "She's mine now!" The witch locked the little girl in a tall, tall tower with no door and no stairs.

Scene 1

The girl's name was Rapunzel. Her hair grew and grew and GREW until it was longer than twenty jump ropes! It sparkled like sunshine and never got tangled.

Every day, the witch came to visit. She stood at the bottom and called out, "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!" Rapunzel would drop her long braid out the window. The witch would climb up, huffing and puffing all the way.

Rapunzel felt lonely in her tower. She sang beautiful songs to the birds and clouds. Her voice was as sweet as honey and as clear as bells.

One day, a kind prince was riding his horse through the forest. He heard the prettiest singing ever! He followed the sound until he found the tower. "Who's up there?" he wondered.

The prince hid behind a tree. Soon the witch arrived and shouted, "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!" The prince watched the golden braid tumble down like a waterfall. "Aha!" he thought.

When the witch left, the prince called out, "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!" Down came the shimmering braid. Up climbed the prince.

"Hello!" said Rapunzel, surprised and happy. "I'm a real person, not just a bird!"

They became wonderful friends. The prince visited every day, bringing Rapunzel treats and stories from the world below.

"I want to leave this tower," Rapunzel told him. "Will you help me?"

"Yes!" said the prince. "I'll bring silk thread. We'll make a ladder together!"

Every visit, the prince brought more thread. Rapunzel wove and wove, making a strong ladder.

Finally, the ladder was ready! Rapunzel climbed down, down, down. Her feet touched grass for the first time ever.

Scene 2

It felt soft and tickly and WONDERFUL!

When the mean witch returned and found the empty tower, she stomped and shouted, but Rapunzel was already far away.

Rapunzel went to live in the prince's castle. She made lots of friends, played in gardens full of flowers, and sang happy songs every single day.

Scene 3

And her magical golden hair? It stayed beautiful forever, reminding her that she was brave enough to find her freedom.

The end.
