About Us: A Father's Promise to Little Dreamers

From California to Your Home

The Bedtime Ritual

I live in California, surrounded by golden sunshine and a culture of innovation. But for me, the most magical time of day isn't when the sun is up—it's when it goes down. It's that sacred hour before sleep, tucked into a cozy corner with my two daughters.

Like many parents, our house is overflowing with picture books. For years, reading has been our bond. My girls don't just like stories; they live in them. But as they grew older, I noticed something shifted. They started wrestling with the pages.

"Daddy, I want to be the hero."

One night, while reading a classic fairytale, my eldest daughter stopped me. She looked frustrated.

"Daddy, why does the princess just wait in the tower? If I were her, I would have tricked the dragon and escaped!"

My younger one chimed in immediately:

"Yeah! And I want to be the knight who defeats the bad guys! But I want to wear pink armor and ride a unicorn!"

That was the moment everything changed. I realized that for them, simply listening wasn't enough. They were bursting with "what ifs." They didn't want to be passive observers of someone else's adventure; they wanted to rewrite the endings. They wanted to be the main characters.

Building the Mirror

As a developer and a father, I couldn't let those sparks of creativity fade. I asked myself: What if I could build a mirror that reflects their imagination back to them in real-time?

That question gave birth to Lyra.kids.

I built this platform not to replace the books we love, but to evolve them. It is a father's love letter to his daughters' creativity. It is a safe sandbox where:

  • They can defeat the villain with kindness—or a magic sword.
  • They can see themselves, their siblings, and even our family pet as the heroes of the story.
  • No idea is too wild, and no dream is too big.

Our Mission

Lyra.kids is more than just technology. It is about empowerment.

When a child sees themselves as the hero of a story, something profound happens. They learn that their voice matters and that they have the power to shape their own narrative.

"This is my time"

Let's build a world where every child is the protagonist of their own life.

A Note from the Founder

Lyra.kids wasn't born in a corporate boardroom; it was born in the soft glow of a nightlight. That is why our goal isn't to maximize profit, but to maximize joy.

We have intentionally set our pricing to be as accessible as possible—just enough to cover our costs and ensure this little world stays sustainable for years to come. We are not looking to build an empire; we are looking to build a sanctuary for imagination.

But we cannot do this alone. Lyra is a seed, and it needs a village to grow. We invite you—moms, dads, and dreamers—to join us not just as users, but as co-creators. Tell us what your children love. Tell us what makes them smile. Help us polish this platform until it shines. Let's build this together, slowly and with care, until it is worthy of the dreams our children hold so dear.

With love,

California, USA
